I’m Colin Moss, founder of CM Strategies, and I work with leaders and owners navigating growth, change, or complexity — those who want finance to be a catalyst for clarity, momentum, and better decisions. I help organisations partner with finance to unlock strategic opportunity and create holistic value: value that strengthens performance and resilience while benefiting employees, customers, partners, and the wider society they serve.
My perspective was shaped by senior leadership roles at Cadbury and Mars, where I learned how cross‑functional partnership, clear alignment and disciplined governance come together to create value across an organisation. My non‑executive work with IGD deepened that perspective, showing how independent challenge, financial and risk expertise, and the role of a trusted sounding board can elevate leadership and support organisations as they navigate complexity and change.
Today, I bring that blend of experience — and a trusted network of specialists I partner with when needed — to strengthen decision‑making, align teams, and build capability across organisations.

My approach combines mentoring, coaching, and practical guidance and training to help finance operate with greater authority and impact.

I lead transformation initiatives that reshape operating models — including organisational design, processes, controls, and reporting — supported by training and capability‑building to embed new ways of working. I support Boards and executives with strategic clarity, risk and governance frameworks, and long‑term value creation. This includes constructive challenge, stewardship, and committee work, as well as acting as a sounding board to CEOs and CFOs to enhance organisational resilience.
